Performing Captured Data (eng)
27/11/2026 9:30h-12:30h
A collaboration between Camille Baker, Citlali Hernández and Iván Paz
Likes, scrolls and clicks are small bodily gestures that digital platforms capture and translate into data, usually to feed systems of identification. In this three-hour workshop, participants will work with their own personal data downloaded from services such as Google, Facebook or Twitter, reflecting on what is captured, how it is recorded and how it is classified. Using a small toolkit based on regular expressions (RegEx), and deliberately avoiding large language models or pre-trained corporate tools, participants will search for patterns in these files and reconfigure the information into small, expressive text fragments. These fragments will then become material for embodied experimentation, exploring other ways of relating to the data we produce.
