TILL THE STARS COME DOWN en Sitges
By Beth Steel
Directed by Alison Reid
Performed by Graduating IAB Acting Students
Synopsis
A wedding day…”it’s supposed to be the happiest day of my life….”
Set in a former mining town in the North of England, the heat of a hot summer’s day and the alcohol fuelled celebrations threaten to rock the newly married couple and the relationships within the rest of the family.
Regrets, drunken flirting and strained family grudges all bubble up. Passions boil over and the limits of love are tested.
This is a passionate, heartbreaking and hilarious portrayal of a larger-than-life family struggling to come to terms with a changing world.
Beth Steel’s Olivier-nominated, uproariously funny family drama Till the Stars Come Down was nominated for 2 Olivier Awards and transferred from the National to the West End in 2025.
